Dr. Eric Wu

Dr. Eric Wu was born in Austin, Texas and spent his early childhood in Garland, Texas where his grandparents looked after him.
An acupuncturist, his grandfather ran a small Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic with the help of Grandma. The powerful aromas and pungent herbs are still ingrained in Dr. Wu’s memory since being a toddler. In particular, one memorable ingredient drawer contained the dried exoskeletons of bees. It was during these first years that he was exposed to the doctor-patient relationship and excellent bedside manner of his grandfather. Watching patients get well on a daily basis helped guide Dr. Wu toward helping others.

The remainder of his school years was spent in Austin with his loving family. A product of the Austin and Round Rock Independent School Districts, Dr. Wu attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate education where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Biology from the College of Natural Sciences and a certificate in Business Foundations from the McCombs School of Business. By this time, his grandfather had passed and Dr. Wu was unsure where his degree would take him.

His introduction to chiropractic occurred shortly after graduation, in which he sought treatment for neck and back pain after an automotive collision. Dr. Wu’s sister had seen amazing results with her chiropractor and suggested he try it. After a few weeks of treatment, the pain from the accident subsided, and Dr. Wu had never felt better. He started researching chiropractic in detail and interviewed many practicing doctors. Upon hearing that chiropractic and acupuncture complemented each other and provided a synergistic effect to heal patients more effectively, Dr. Wu’s decision to begin chiropractic school was cemented. It was as if Grandpa was sending a message.

Dr. Wu graduated from Parker University College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and sees all patients willing to take charge of their own health. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a diverse range of conditions and disorders relating to the nerves, muscles, and joints. Commanding a wide variety of experience from amateur to professional athletes and toddlers to the elderly, Dr. Wu emphasizes informing the patient every step of the way. Dr. Wu possesses clinical experience in treating patients who suffer from whiplash injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, chronic neck and back pain, chronic headaches, and work-related injuries.

In order to get patients well and stay well, Dr. Wu practices using a gentle adjusting technique and treats the source of the problem rather than the symptoms alone. He looks forward to serving the communities of the greater Austin area with his passion, enthusiasm, knowledge, and hands-on natural healing approach. In addition to English, Dr. Wu also speaks competent Spanish and Cantonese with Mandarin Chinese and Vietnamese translation available.
